Suppose you have a 75 Ft. roll of paper that you will use to decorate for a party. You need one piece 10 Ft. long. How many 4.5 Ft. โ€“ long pieces can you get from the paper that is left?

x = (75 - 10) / 4.5
x = 65 / 4.5
x = 14.44444

You can get 14 pieces 4.5 ft long
