Since the two are complementary angles, they add up to 90 degrees.

Thus, we have:

U + V = 90 --- (1)
U = 2V - 3 --- (2)

Substituting (2) into (1), we will get:

(2V - 3) + V = 90
3V - 3 = 90
3V = 93
V = 93 / 3
V = 31

Substituting V = 31 into (2), we will get:

U = 2(31) - 3
U = 62 - 3
U = 59

Hence, we have angle U = 59 degrees and angle V = 31 degrees.
