2 + 3[1 + (20 - 17)(3)] + 5(2)
= 2 + 3[1 + (3)(3)] + 10 {worked inside parentheses and multiplied 5 by 2}
= 2 + 3[1 + 9] + 10 {multiplied 3 by 3 inside brackets}
= 2 + 3(10) + 10 {added 1 and 9}
= 2 + 30 + 10 {multiplied 3 by 10}
= 42 {added}
