Slope-intercept form is y =mx + b
m is the slope {rise/run of the line}
b is the y-intercept {where it crosses the y-axis}
3y + 2x = 0
3y = -2x {subtracted 2x from both sides}
y = (-2/3)x {divided both sides by 3}
slope = -2/3
y-intercept = 0
To graph:
- put a point on 0 on the y-axis
- from there, go down 2 and to the right 3 and put another point
- draw a line through the two points
