When x=0, y2=8 so y=±√8=±2√2 making the y intercepts (0,2√2) and (0,-2√2).

When y=0, 3x=-8, x=-8/3, making the x-intercept (-8/3,0).

-3x+y2-8=0, 3x=y2-8, x=⅓y2-8/3.

The graph below shows th intercepts. The axis of symmetry is the x-axis.
