For Y=20+5Cos(30+pi).  You are missing a variable on the right side.  I'm going to assume the equation is supposed to read Y=20+5Cos(30(x+pi))

Vertical shift is the constant being added/subtracted in the exprexxion.  20 in your example.

Amplitude in the coeffecient in front of Cosine.  5 in your example

Period is 2pi divided by the angular speed.  30 in this example.  

The phase shift is the x+pi part.  Specifically it is shifted pi units to the left.
