the of two circles are 6cm and 12cm.find the ratio of the largerarea to the smaller area

The WHAT? The radius? The diameter? The circumference? It's foolish to make
assumptions, but I will use those numbers as the radii and solve.

Area 1: 3.141592 * 6^2 = 113.097312 square cm
Area 2: 3.141592 * 12^2 = 452.389248 square cm

452.389248 / 113.097312 = 4; the ration is 4 to 1

If the given numbers are not the radii, you will have to start over.
