regular hexagon...6 sides, so alfa=60 deg, & beta=60 deg

inside radius=(1/2)*(side length) *tan(beta)

tan(60deg)=1.732050808

polygon area=(n/4)*side*side*tan(beta)

for hexagon, n=6, so area=1.5*side*side*tan(beta)

area=3*side*[(1/2)*side*tan(beta)]...3*side*(inside radius)
