ln(7x-23) - ln(x+1)=ln [(7x-23) / (x+1)]

so (x-3) =(7x-23) / (x+1)

or (x+1)*(x-3)=7x-23

x^2 -2x-3 -7x+23=0

x^2 -9x +20=0

(x-5)(x-4)=0
