1 Answer

y - 4 = 2(x + 1)

y - 4 = 2x + 2

y = 2x + 6

M = slope = 2, b = y-intercept = 6 (0,6)

to find the x-intercept set y = 0

0 = 2x + 6

2x = -6

x = -3  (-3,0)
