If width=w then twice the width is 2w and 2w+5/2 is 5/2 units greater than twice the width. The perimeter is 2(width+length)=2(w+2w+5/2)=2(3w+5/2)=6w+5.

rim-leng=2*(leng+wide)

leng=2*wide+2.5

rim-leng=2*(w+2*w+2.5)

=2*(3w+2.5)

or =6w+5
