In a normal or non-skew distribution, the median and mean will be close to one another. If the distribution is skewed to the right it means the weight of the data is to the right and this will push the mean over to the right and make it bigger than the median, which is just the central value in a set of ordered data. The larger number is the mean, making it $675,000. The median is $330,000.
