Volume of cone V=⅓πr2h where r=radius of base and h is the vertical height.

h2+r2=s2, where s is the slant length. We are given r=6m and volume = 542.87m3. We can find the vertical height h=3V/(πr2)=3×542.87/(36π)=14.4m approx.

s=√(h2+r2)=√(14.42+62)=√243.36=15.6m approx.

So the slant height is about 15.6m.
