The red curve is the parent p(x)=x3; the blue curve is the parent shifted 4 units to the right q(x)=(x-4)3; and the green curve is f(x)=(x-4)3-5, which is q(x) shifted 5 units down. So the transformation is a right shift of 4 units and a downward shift of 5 units.
