Any number multiplied by 0 is what? That is your answer.
by
wrong - read on below!
It is true that any number multiplied by zero is zero; however, in this case the only number that is multiplied by zero is the very last 2. If the whole equation was in brackets and then multiplied by zero (like this (2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2-2+2) x 0) then this would be equal to zero, but this is not how it's written and so consequently the answer is 26 as every other 2 is still valid, only the one at the end equals zero.
Refer to the order of operations: PEMDAS, short for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction. There are no parentheses or exponents, so move forward. Multiplication and division occur at the same time in an equation, but before addition or subtraction. Since there are no parentheses surrounding the final segment, 2x0, then it is merely that single 2 that is multiplied by 0, not the rest of the equation. Thus 2x0 becomes simply +0. Solve the rest of the equation's addition and subtraction values.

The answer should be 26. Those who claim the answer is 0 have forgotten the PEMDAS rule and favor a faulty shortcut without checking their own work or the laws of mathematics.

As stated already the order of operations is parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction so the multiplication is done first and then the addition and subtraction, so the answer is 26

the answer is 26 ;) .. first x and / ... and then + and - ;) learn maths dudes

the answer is 26 just use a caulator and exponets smiley

No, this can confuse even college graduates.

If we answer this starting from the left, then the answer would be 0. That is the case with non-scientific calculators. However, if we follow the PEMDAS rule, the answer would be 26.
i mean every has their own opionions seriously i personally think its 0 cause anything mulitplied by 0 is 0 and that what my calculator said so thats what im going with but my friends have been arguing about this and seriously guys grow up!

2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2 = 28

28-2= 26

2x0 = 0

26 +0 = 26

If it was (2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2-2+2) x 0 it should be 0.

stupid what grade are u in its 0 becuz no matter what if u multiply it by 0 its zero

ex. mario x 0 =  0 or  42364786254163167864836154832 x 0=  is still 0

even $53643284352653654356432656432654365436543434328432435263465324326546523436562 x 0 = 0
so u welcome

Uh...fifth grade...
PEMDAS.. You should follow
Parentheses-Exponents-Multiply-Divide-Add-Subtract
That means all 2s are valid except the last one which is 0
Then answer is 26

Seems like ur still in 1st grade
26..... PEMDAS,  parenthesis, exponents, multiply, divided, addition, subtraction

no, kathy........... it is 0, znything times 0 is 0........... duuuuuh

The answer is 0 because 28 x 0=? 0

by Level 1 User (140 points)

no, the answer is 26

26 because pemdas

you add whatever number  in there u get 26

Abd when adding the last 2 it should be 28 but

pemdas rules, blah blah + 2x0 is 0 so the answer should be 26

2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2x0+2+2 = ?
by
(2^2)^0

26 is your answer
by

This can be written:

14×2-2+2×0=26 if PEMDAS is applied. This means: (14×2)-2+(2×0)=26.

If the operations are performed sequentially disregarding PEMDAS then the answer is 0.

I would go for the PEMDAS solution: 26. Any other answer introduces ambiguities about which operations to apply first. There are no parentheses so multiplication is applied first (2×0) by default, then addition/subtraction.
