4x-3y=18.......multiply by 2

15x+6y=33

8x-6y=36

+6-6=0

23x+0y=69

23x=69

69/23=3

x=3

SUBSITUTE

4 times 3-3y=18

12-3y=18

-3y=6

y=-2
