Substitute -9+y for x in the second equation:

9(-9+y)-10y=-18,

-81+9y-10y=-18,

-81-y=-18,

-81+18=y,

-63=y, so y=-63 and x=-9+y=-9-63=-72.

SOLUTION: x=-72, y=-63.
